One Step

We made it home. Albeit an adventure to say the least. Paisley got to experience not only her first plane ride, but her second as well and boy were we troopers if I do say so myself. After a last minute reorganizing effort for luggage we made it onto our first flight only to find that Paisley has had a diaper blowout. Later she screamed pretty loudly for awhile then zonked out (thank heavens) We landed and then rushed to catch our connecting flight. We end up waiting on the runway for 25 minutes so maintenance can fill out paperwork on something they just fixed on the plane (um, what?) then Paisley remembers she just learned to scream and does a marvelous job serenading the other passengers. We finally made it home when we found out the airlines has lost Paisley's bag.
Oh for the love....
I will admit, I was tired and stressed to the max but as soon as I saw my family, that all melted away.
It was like we'd never left. I felt so relieved and happy. I seriously scolded myself for being so uptight and ungrateful. I was home. I was with my family and had my husband and my baby by my side.
What more could I possibly need?
I am so thankful for ALL my loved ones. My heart aches for those families in CT that (I'm sure) would give up a lifetime of Christmas's to still have their children with them. Who I am to complain about a little poop or some screaming from my 6 month old? I am so blessed to be here blogging at 11:00 at night while rocking my baby back to sleep. I am so thankful for this gospel and for the knowledge that those little children are with their Savior right now. My heart and my prayers go out to all those affected this last weekend. Let us begin to heal together one step at a time.
